Madame Classe TV - The Classics Friday Book Club : Anna Karenina - Introduction

Hi and welcome to Madame Classe TV. I’m your host Nella. 

And welcome to the Madame Classe TV Friday Book Club

This week and for the next few weeks we will be reading and discussing Anna Karenina.

Anna Karenina is a book about love, passion and romance. This book was written by the famed Russian novelist Leo Tolstoy who also wrote the famous classic War and Peace. Anna Karenina is based in 19th century Russia and centers around a dangerous love affair between the married socialite Anna Karenina and her lover military officer Alexei Vronsky. Passion abounds in this book about the ups and downs of love in it’s various forms and stages. Together we will read Part One and then next week have an in-depth discussion about this portion of the book.
