How to Politely End a Long Phone Conversation
Sometimes in life phone conversations
run too long and the rest of life needs to be addressed. In today’s video, I
will share with you three ways to politely end a phone conversation that has gone
too long.
1. Summarize
One thing you can do to end a phone conversation that has gone on too long is to summarize the reason for your calling. Then after doing so politely say good-bye.
2. Plan in Advance
Let the person you call know at the beginning of the conversation that you will not be able to talk long. This way the person you called knows to keep the conversation brief.
3. Say You Would Like to Talk
Longer but Can’t
Admit to the person you called that you would like to speak longer but that you can’t and have to go. Then you can plan another time to talk.
I hope this blog post has helped you
address a common problem when talking on the phone. Now you can confidently end
phone conversations with dignity and grace. I’m Nella, and until next time, stay
classy.
